whats everyone using to measure commercial flooring when quoting, any links would be great as i need to buy one asap

A tape measure still.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

tape measure for me. takes longer but i prefer, cheap and accurate

Thats the D2, i went for the D210 , no idea why apart from it was the newer model so must be better  ;D
