Buying direct from China
« on: February 21, 2016, 01:49:51 pm »
Does anyone have experience of buying anything direct from China on Alibaba? If so, how did you find the experience and who arranged the shipping? I've had quotes for water meters but getting the details sorted is like plaiting fog. Any advice received with gratitude.

I was looking in to this last year. Obtained quotes including shipping but what put me off is if customs wants a look at your shipment you have to pay for this including handling and storage.

I have ordered from alibababa and had no problems .......just obviously a long wait for delivery .

I have also ordered from china on ebay and it was the same , no hassle just nearly a month until it was delivered.

Av ad a little ponder on alibaba, was considering buying squeegee rubbers in bulk, I also looked at trad swag in bulk and other bits as I was considering selling it on, but the standard of the equipment is crap.

Ended up emailing a few companies off there to see wot other bits they had but again the quality isn't very good.

If you want to buy from China just sign up with alibaba its free, post your buying request and give pics and info on what you are looking for, you will get many replies and go with your gut instinct, once you decide which supplier ask them to send you a sample depending on the value of the product they will just ask you to pay shipping costs. once you have paid shipping costs your delivery will arrive by air within days. If you are going this route to purchase direct from the manufacturers i have found its much safer and the products from South Korean manufacturers are of far higher quality. You also have to take into consideration to receive best pricing from these manufacturers they will expect  minimum order quantities.
