On mingers try towelling off inbetween scrub and rinse - your results will be better, fabric will be drier (unless you use cfr/sapphire) & less water used in the tank.

We all know the dirty areas on upholstery head and arms front of cushion.

We tend to just give those areas a quick  pre-spray and then just extract them no rubbing that gets rid of some of the soiling.

Then pre-spray the whole piece.

It seems to work for us.

I hate cleaning upholstery would rather clean carpets.

We walk into upholstery jobs with sprayers charged, spray  the worst areas as soon as the initial chat/inspection is complete, then  set up all equipment, the maximised dwell time helps.

For really bad head grease/arms we apply leather cleaner and brush in, it never fails.

We only pre vac the crevices on upholstery.
