Bought 3 brass inline filter of eBay. 2 of then split as I tightened the fitting into them bought another from a hydraulic place near me cost me £10 where the eBay ones cost £4 but if you compare them you can see the £10 is 3 times thicker brass ( hopefully you can see the difference in this photo)Just shows..... buy cheap...buy twice
The problem is with eBay, unless you have bought the item before you don't know it's cheap crap, I looked at the picture and thought ' yep that the same one I use' so bought them not knowing that £3 was a cheap price if I had bought a genuine one before at a cost of £10 I would have been suspicious of the cheap price. But to me that was the cost.It's the same ( and the problem with our industry) people do not know the price of a quality service or product , so when they get quoted a cheap price they believe that's the cost, they don't have a comparison price of how much a job should cost so can't make an educated decision
