rug advice......

hi folks... has anybody cleaned a reindeer hide rug???       anyadvice on how to, or indeed whether to??
googled it, and it doesnt sound promising................ just thought id ask before getting back to the client....

Have cleaned several cow hide rugs, a good vac, prespray gold and a good agitation and rinse off with hand tool.

Its important not to use too much mositure as the hide goes all stiff & curly, I just vac the hide side of it and then wipe over with a damp cloth.....
