Getting ready for work after operation.
« on: January 10, 2016, 03:38:28 pm »
I had a total knee replacement operation on the 17 dec 2015. I  was told I would be off for three months. Well, it`s the 10th 7 days before a full month and am driving and walking unaided and thinking of going back to work by the end of January. My doctor has said no one can tell you how you will respond to treatment and use my own discretion, Not bad for a 66-year-old.

Do 2 hours a day and see how it goes. They are fantastic operations, but you still need to mend

That's great news bud. It must be very tempting to want to get back at it but best you don't go overdoing it too soon.

Excellent news. If you ease back in gently and listen to what your body tells you,  you'll be fine.

Hope to be as fit as you when I reach 66 (I'm 54 this year)!

Thanks for the good wishes. I am planning to ease back slowly  as I did book off till end Feb. So have time on my side. Will need to canvas  a load of new business as did loose a lot last year when I battled to keep up my workload. People also have a way of getting rid of you when you are no working a full strength. That`s why it`s so important to get to know your customers and have a bit of a relationship. They don't get rid as quickly.
