I would still expect them to last more than 6 jobs though and certainly not snap as I'm lifting it up .

I was lifting it to move it along the gutter , maybe I should have been clearer but didn't expect people to split hairs .

The section that snapped is my newest section that I brought to extend what I already had , the other sections have done around 15 jobs .

I still think they are too fragile for gutter clearing , especially for the price .

Alex specifically mentioned in another thread that he doesn't sell these sections for the purpose of gutter clearing .....so I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be interested .

As for the weight going up with crud inside , the poles were clean and this was the first section of gutter in this job .
They are sold for this purpose after all .
Robert,
You have changed your story, from just moving it along the gutter to lifting it.
We found that a 1.5 metre carbon fibre pole went from 425 grams to 1250 grams in fifteen minutes.
You must keep the poles clean, if the gutters are muddy, clean about every 15 minutes.

no idea , i don't know if they sell the clamps separately and that doesn't solve the problem of them not being very strong either .
I've got an Xtreme 25 with twin extension packs taking it to 44', I'm sure this last section is the same diameter as my gutter poles. Need to check!
My point being, you could order x1 clamp for that size and see how  it fits. I can't see why it wouldn't. You could ask Mr. G for the definitive answer 😳😀

Well none of my chepo carbonfibretubes.co.uk poles have snapped so they must be better made or something  ::)roll

Whoever said 2m pole sections are no good are talking rubbish too. Mind you I could have done with a larger than 50mm head on that one as looks tiny in those types of gutters  ;D

I've had no problems with my grippa poles and I've done a lot more than 6 jobs ;)
Thanks SB / RIgsby for your positive feedback.
