Buying work from idiots!
« on: November 01, 2015, 12:17:49 pm »
After selling work during the summer I'm now looking to buy as I'm quiet. Below is someone who contacted me.

Hi saw ur ad on gumtree i have a great round for sale in springburn all traditional work. Theres 97 houses all in one street. Get in touch if intrested thanks

Me-What area of Springburn is it and are they semi detached houses.

Yes all semi detached its just off colston im struggling to keep it going all great custom most pay on same day cleaned 3-4 weekly

Me-What price are you looking for.

Im looking for 2500 though its all overdue i would accept 2 if i got the last clean im planing working on it tomorow if u would like to come see it
Im starting the street just now (0945) if u want to have a look at the houses at some point today i have another guy intrested but hes trying to get the cash for it

Me-I had a look around earlier. Presuming it's Everard I wouldn't be interested.

Sorry whos this had alot of guys in touch about it

I never responded as the area was crap and for someone who was behind on work they had started late and finished early! The work had also been advertised for four weeks before he contacted me so his tactic of "alot of guys in touch" wasn't going to wash.
I then had this reply- V
I presume this meant two fingers.

Why did you sell when you could do with it now?  ???

The answer is in the first line. Its not that big a deal as I've got my shower room to fit out, which I ripped out in March!
The work I sold was further away so was always going to be sold at some point. At the time there was no chance of ME being able to cover it so it was sold to someone I had dealings with before.
Taking more on is a short term measure and would then sell other work around April as I have no intentions of taking on f***wits to work for me. :)

I have another who has work to sell. Consists of 1,2, and 4 weekly cleans but he's away for five weeks ???
I asked him if someone is covering his work when he's away.
He replied "whos this"

I used to live in Colston, Bishopsgate built on the school site. Police were never away from Everard dr. f***ers in the near by scheme tried to steel my motorbike as well. It was like Fort Apache the Bronx down the road.
Great run my arse!

Same where I live, £5 house's and teams of guys turning up at people's houses. But they do a crap job , and customers find it intimidating aswell. best thing I did was just advertise. There will be people out there who want your service- you've just got to be found easily
