Just wondered how many of you wear sunglasses for wfp. I wear them if sun is blocking my view. I just buy normal 400 uv ones which cost about a fiver but may invest in some more expensive ones so any recommendations would be welcome.

I also buy cheap sunglasses from Asda or somewhere similar since I usually end up sitting on them or losing them.  Having said that my last £5 pair have lasted me a good six months or so ...

You need polarised ones for window cleaning. They remove the glare that makes you squint at the glass.

Polarised is the way forward - not removing glare by darkening but by filtering. About £5 on Ebay - make sure they're Polycarbonate and UV 400.

I got a pair of Dirty Dog sunglasses a few years ago, absolutely fine. Comfortable, and good sun protection. About £45.

I struggle to work without them , I have a spare prescription pair on the ban now and drove 10 miles back home one day when i forgot them that's how much I need them looking up all day long at with the sun in your eyes can be painful

Wife treated me to some Oakley's last June. Scratched to hell now, but lenses are replaceable at over £100 a time

Are they prescription oakleys because my prescription is only slight and the lenses on there own are £280 no frame incl

Nope, just sunglasses. Trouble is I love them and will be replacing the lenses. There was a time when I'd have laughed at any dickhead paying more the £20 for a pair of glasses

A couple of opticians have told me in the past that cheap sunglasses or un polarised lenses are almost like not wearing sunglasses.
