A friend of mine has a jag,he mostly does stone restoration.He bought the machine with an sx12 spinner 15 inch.He complains that even on 800 psi the sx12 will not spin.When he pulls the trigger the psi drops from 800 to 400,He has checked he quick connects and the jets.Any idea what could be the problem.

The psi at the guage always drops when you pull the trigger. Is the spinner freely spinning when spun by hand (don't try this with the trigger pulled), it may have seized up. Does water fire out of the jets? The jets are set at an angle so as to generate the spin.

Hi Dave,he is calling into me tomorrow to see if it will work off my machine.Said it spins on his pressure washer at 1500 psi.....

I dont know the spinner or high pressure t&g but most ive seen seem to use the 1200psi pumps on large motors like 1.5hp .   That 800psi on 1/2 hp motor is probably 800 psi on a low flow jetting .

Thanks john,so he should change the jets,if so what size would you recommend.i have used my turbo hybrid spinner with my porty and it spins ...

I really wouldnt know about spinner jetting , perhaps someone here uses them . I guess ye will have to play around with it on both machines .

Brendan, your spinner has been working on my Storm as u remember. Think hybrid is designed to work from 500psi?

Hey Radek,yeah sure i could just swap jets on the 2 tools and see if that works.
