Return on advertising costs
« on: August 01, 2015, 07:37:22 pm »
Hi all,
I have been sorting my accounts out for last month and was comparing advertising costs to income.
For every £100.00 I have spent on adwords last month has provided a return of £900.00.
What do others find the average return is per £100 spent on advertising (adwords, facebook, local papers etc)?
My website is gradually climbing the ranks on Google so will have to discard that form of advertising for the moment.
Thanks.
Simon

Hi,

When a customer phones or emails I ask them where they have got our details from.

If they say Google it can only be from adwords.

I then record it on cleaners mate.

Returns on Facebook seem to be a lot lower at approximately £300 return  for every £100 spent.

Another problem with  Facebook is that you get people making comments saying they can get cheaper etc.

there will always be someone cheaper but there standards and products wont be the same
its not worth worring about the cheaper quotes they are always the problem clients set out
to attract better paying clients happy cleaning

£900 return on £100 spent is brilliant even Nigel Botteril reckons the days of £10 for every £1 spent are gone.  I only get 4 to 1 on adwords nearer 5 to 1 on leaflets.

Starting to get more Ref's and recommends so that is good no cost attached.
But well done do you do your own adwords?

Simon, is your web address  not advertised anywhere else but Adwords ?

when someone says 'Google' sometimes they don't mean they searched Google and saw your Adwords listing,  it means they are on the Internet and typed in your address or your company name into the search bar,

Google is such a powerful brand name it encompasses  all of the Internet , I will tell my wife to "google it" what I mean is search the Internet not go onto google search

your Adwords probably works well because of trust , they see your leaflets then your website ,and your places with your address , this all builds to a trust factor one website at no 1 on page one wont work yours is perfect
