They're not very good those ones from experience, I just bought one of these and very happy with it:

The Numatic Cleantec trigger valve works well on my 18' and 22' poles.

Cable tied to the pole you can operate them without moving your hand from the pole.  I have not been able to find anything else that works as well for me.  I accept that they will not work if you don't like your tap fixed to the pole.

Does anyone use anything like this to save water
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161708372676&globalID=EBAY-GB
Gardiners fitted one of these for me on my pole hose for my CLX-22. I use it a lot. I had thought about purchasing an aqua-dapter but this would increase the overall length of the the pole & would mean I couldn't fit it in my van (without dis-assembling/re-assembling it every time or making a hole through the van bulkhead to accommodate the extra length).

Don't forget to attach it at the brush head - then see if you can get some 30' arms of ebay to switch it on and off!! ;D ;D
