Vyair pumps faulty
« on: June 12, 2015, 11:53:22 am »
I have just been on the phone to Vyair and am finding there pumps are not lasting 4 months due to the armature burning out this then heats up the brush holder inside the pump which over heats the wiring coming out of the pump . If you are considering changing to this pumps be forewarned. I have had 3 pumps in the last 10 months ||I am thinking of connecting two 5 liter pumps of another brand  to get the flow rate which is fantastic to work with.  Its just not worth it.
I have a two man system so my pumps do not work hard at all. I know there were others having the same problem as I have . AS a matter of fact my 7 liter back up pump has gone a.w.a.l a week back. If they do not do something to improve last ability I for one will look elsewhere , i CANNOT HAVE ALL THESE DAYS LOST TO REPAIRERS.

Matt.

I have been using these pumps for years and they were good but since they have changed the design they crap. I have just ordered two cheap 5 litre pumps which I will fit both into separate lines but the n into one hose I will keep you posted if they work.
Vyair pumps are not cheap but told Sam and Phil if the next goes that`s it with there pumps I do not have time for crap.
They always  replace in the first 12 month but if your third one goes after that it spend money to replace. My backpack is more reliable at the moment and that only a 10 quid pump.
