 Hi all, i know this question has been asked before, so shoot me down if you like, just say for an example, a customer wants a
 one off average house cleaned windows only, just say its 30 pounds for the one off,  Say she lives 10 miles away half an hour
 drive, so thats 20 miles round trip & 1 hour travel time,  i know that would cost me 5 pound in diesel at the worst, so how do you
 guys & gals calculate the cost, on fuel or time taken traveling or a mixture of both, all your feedback is appreciated.

Just add your hourly rate plus fuel costs onto the clean price, anything less and you will be working at a loss.

If you could get a few others to clean then you could split that among them, you could put that offer to the customer.

I add £20 ph for travelling.

if i was a customer,i wouldnt pay it,just get a local cleaner

It's just life that you have to travel to work .
I put the radio on and chill .
My furthest job is a big commercial , it's priced well , so a hours drive at say £15 fuel is no problem .
Well £30 fuel both ways .

If it's not in the area we clean and can fit in with other work then I don't bother

85p per mile plus your time.

Is fuel your only cost when travelling? I think not.
