Struggling to fit a submersible pump in ibc tank

I have looked at 2 submersible pumps today and both will not fit into my ibc tank they are about 1/2 inch to big anyone else had this problem

Cut the opening with a new blade, drop pump in. Tape up. Voila. I think this is what most people end up doing.

I use one of these from Lidl been brilliant for about three years. Wish I could find another for a spare I think they are branded Florabest.

Look for the Ibc with the larger opening

They come in two different size lids

You can  buy bigger lid kits , cut the old one out make hole bigger  and put on the new lid kit that is what I did
