http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=191349.msg1651279#msg1651279The moveable fairleads don't appear to extend out that far (57cm), certainly not past an open back 'barn' door of the van. Whilst this idea looks good in theory, it may be less practical the practice.
Firstly I would imagine that the further the adjustable front rollers extend out the more leverage and hence the more likely hood of damage, especially when reeling in.
You also need an area for the extension to return to behind the hose reel. The reason for having this type of setup is because you are limited for space in the first place.
One of our trainers at Impact 43 had those double decker hose reels in his demo van. They were those reels but didn't have the moveable front rollers. I didn't rate them then as only one person could reel in his hose at a time. This is the type of item that you have to assign one person to reel in both hose reels while the other is occupied doing other things. Reeling in a single reel can be a pain for me, more so if I had to do a second one soon afterward.
