Facebook Advertising
« on: April 27, 2015, 08:13:34 am »
Hi,
I decided yesterday to give facebook advertising a go. (Sponsored post)
I have already had a booking from it.
I was a bit unsure of the age range and interests to select to target that particular audience.
Has anyone had any past experience with regards to this?
Currently I am running 20 yrs old to 40 yrs old (No reason just selected a smaller age range) with no interests.
Thanks.
Simon

I just put mine up on the local free ad pages.....get 3 or 4 enquiries a week and roughly 1 booking per week but it's free.
Lot of the people on these sites just want cheap but hey ho like I said it's free just give 'em a price.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Paid for advertising on Facebook can be extremely targeted and work out currently far cheaper per click than adwords.
Also you can upload customer details and it will target your advertising to them or you can create a lookalike audience so you can target your campaign to similar customers to what you already have.

Generally the more targeted  a campaign is the greater the roi...

Hi Steve,
Do you currently use Facebook for advertising?
If so what do you include in interests?
I have set the areas and a broad age but nothing included in interests?
I have been using adwords for some time and am pretty much booked up for the next few weeks so decided to focus of facebook this week to see what happens...
Thanks.

You'll probably have to play around with it and see what works, mine are mostly to do with home improvements etc.

Those that respond are mostly woman between 40 & 50....

It can be costly if the audience is too broad, best to start a small area and small demographic and gradually expand if need be...

I've been posting on Facebook groups/pages for a few years now. Because my customers are German or British army, I get a lot of EOT cleans from them. I post who we are and use before and after pics. We get about 2K's worth of work a month just from the Brits. Germans do show interest on Facebook, but they're slower getting bookings out of. Hope that makes sense.

Hi,
Do you have a facebook (business) page or do you just use a personal page to post in groups/pages?
Facebook appear to be changing personal accounts being used for businesses purposes to actual business pages so cannot post in groups etc.
The only way it appears to obtain customers is to actually pay to advertise on Facebook.
Thanks.

I've got four Facebook accounts. Two are pages, and two are groups. Never had a problem posting anything anywhere.
I will try the Facebook adverts system at some point. We're about to move house, so I'll wait til then. In the meantime, I'll keep posting as before. I'd like to see the results from Facebook's advertising over a period of perhaps six months.
