Remember that natural fibers like wool or cotton are sensitive to many types of chemistry. Using sodium percarbonate (an oxidizer) with its natural high alkalinity is not recommended on some of these fiber types. Same with stain resistant nylon fibers. Liquid peroxide with a more neutral pH is better.

I've used peroxide on wool boosted with ammonia . Eg; chemspecs dye-gone

They put in thier hydraforces as a booster in the USA

Yeah mike the yanks love peroxide in their  pre sprays,but most carpets synthetics.Would it not cause problems on Wool.

If used incorrectly then it could cause problems but that's  the same with most chemicals.

Just keep an eye on it, I did an empty rental with numerous stains which weren't coming out I walked around with a spray of peroxide, a wet towel and an iron...... Most of the stains improved, some came out completely. After that job my fear of peroxide was slightly diminished

Yeah Mike its the fear factor.So whats your dilutions when using peroxide.Do you use the same on synthetics as wool?

I use. 2 parts water - 1 part ammonia - 1 part peroxide (12%~40volume) but this is my dilution through trail and error.

Depending on the size of the stain I apply it with a funnel bottle I bought from the same place I got the peroxide (a hairdresser wholesalers), it has a long, thin neck which hairdressers use to bleach the roots of hair. It gives a controlled, precise application of solution.

First thing I do is draw a fine cross in the stain with the solution then hit it with the iron just to give a test to see if it will work.

I have added Haitian cotton with my encapping  solution on commercials as a brighter  , isn't Haitian cotton nearly the same as sodium met? If so, can you use sodium met on upholstery and commercial carpet added in a cleaning solution?

Yes but it smells like rotten eggs..

Sodium met is neutralised by alkalines so you need to know what your mixing it with.
