Do you use Cleaner planner with mobile devices?
« on: March 08, 2015, 10:17:02 am »
Hi,

Does anyone use mobile devices with cleaner planner when you are out and about working?

If so how do you find it? does it save you time? cause any hassles?

I have employees and am considering if this is a good option for me to give them a cheap waterproof tablet for the van...

I gave the first lad to use it a tablet. It was unnecessary.

My employees run it off their phones (they are company phones).

The app is brilliant. I finally rolled it out to all the rounds last Monday. I've only had issues with one lad on one day. He's not great with technology and made a total arse of it. It took me ages to sort it out but it wasn't the apps fault. Everyone else has been getting on fine.

I'm about half way through writing up a user handbook for it, which will help.

All ours are on hudl's - cheap to buy but good quality, saves Mrs smudger loads of time at the end of the day. Pretty much paperless now

I have the app onphone and tablet. I generally use a tablet for most of the time mainly due to having a bigger screen..I have used it on a phone and is fine but just like having a bigger screen . The advantage of using a phone over a tablet is if you need to ring/text a customer during the day it can all be done very quickly through the app on the phone.

Depends on what phones they have.

Iphone 5 or upwards then i would say deffo stick the app on a phone.

Nokia 3210 - Tablet.

Anything with a tiny screen wouldn't be all that great.

I think the APP on a tablet is a bit overkill. Tried in on ipad air/ipad mini and just didn't like it.

I can see the appeal of a cheap tablet. For me as i am still on the tools. Clean house, put slip through door, pull phone out, mark off APP DONE! Really is that simple.

I purchased an iphone 6 plus and is now in a gorilla waterproof type case. Its the perfect combo for work and CP.

Large enough to use Browser CP/ Awesome for the APP and safe dropping it at work.
