Just randomly met one cc and we had a quick chat about our industry. Mainly he said "ccurrently I am having pretty not busy time and most carpet cleaners are having the same."
In response I just said that his marketing probably is wrongly held or campaign he made wasn't effective enough.
Though 80% of success is marketing indeed.

For me it's been a slow start to this year but march is looking much better, so onwards and upwards

Same. From a products point of view we have sold/shipped more than I can remember for a few years.

In fact we have a new staff member starting on Monday to help cope with the uplift. The second since November.

All the building maintenance jobs we put off til January & February thinking we would be quiet haven't happened either.
My contracts guys are now booked until May and have been flat out since Monday 5th Jan when they started back.

I've not done any marketing throughout the start of this year, normally I would market the same as the rest of the year.

But I know the demand is not as great in jan & feb so rather than spend money on a limited market I spent nothing and will spend some of what I saved on a massive push from next week when I get back from my holidays ( in hurgada right now)

But I have been working as busy as normal mainly from a knock on effect from all the marketing I had already done in previous months.

we've just exploded this year. doubled Januarys best ever and up 30% on our best ever Fab, finally getting our act together, and a lot of it is down to the trainers and some individuals at the TACCA Training day. sometimes you just have to go against your own instincts and trust others who have been there done it, and wear the t-shirt.

Ps.. This week has been dyer for some strange reason, 2 big cancellation but next week fully booked, long may this continue.

not changing it, just doing a dedicated hard floor site, my wife is building it and its coming on rather nice at the moment.

The weather has been the killer for me 5 snow days had a good week this week, a very good week last and booked up next albeit I'm only working 4 days next week as I'm picking up my birthday present on Friday.
