DI John guest connections
« on: February 11, 2015, 04:49:47 pm »
Evening chaps, after buying expensive metal Hozelock connectors and lots of ptfe tape I am still getting drips and leaks from my DI vessels in various places.
This is a big problem because I have them running in my van.
Could someone give me some advice on using John guest fittings instead to see if these are any better? I've tried the gardiners website (which is shocking imo) and find the various products and lack of information a struggle
I run tank to DI, then DI to hose reel, all on standard half inch hose.
Many thanks

John Guest fittings are excellent, they rarely if ever leak in my experience.  Fittings work best using John Guest tubing.

We do supply John Guest fitting kits for DI vessels if this makes life any easier - http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pure-water-systems/water-treatment/de-ionisation/fitting-kit-for-di-pressure-vessel-john-guest-1-2-tube.html

To connect to these you would either need to use John Guest 1/2" tubing as Jakey Boy has already said or use these stem to barb adapters for use with 1/2" ID hose - http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/john-guest-fittings/1-2-fittings/a-john-guest-stem-to-a-barb.html

Finally got round to ordering these.
Is there any way of choosing a different delivery option?  I dont need it next day and it seems extremely steep to charge £7.75 for a small packet of plastic parts.

Hi g.brookes

If you would like to have these sent via non-insured Royal Mail, then please give the sales team a call on 01726 66400 and they can input a customized royal mail price which may well be lower.

The new website is much more graphics featured and as a result enlarges some of the older images used on the previous website so that the low quality can be seen. We are gradually working our way through the products and proving higher resolution images. You may notice now that all of the poles and extensions have accurate high resolution images of each one. This will be rolled out across all products as they are added.

We are just about to take delivery of the new S3 RO Systems/Booster Pump controller and the new V3 Vehicle System controller. Details should be on the website along with the ability to purchase by the end of this week.
