TDS at 70 through RO?
« on: February 01, 2015, 03:09:43 pm »
Hi Guys. I hope all aren't suffering to much outside with the current weather. I'm in need of a litle advise please.

I have a 650litre hot water concept 2o system. I have had my RO for about 2 1/2 years now. Lately though I seem to be going through resin like the clappers (every 4-6-weeks - 11litre di vessel) My tds from tap comes in at around 250. Today I flushed and back flushed the system for around 30 mins each. My tds now comes in at around 70 through the RO before Di.

Am I assuming my RO membrane is buggered and needs changing? :-[  I know I'm probably going over old ground but, it's driving me mad!

Many thanks in advance for anyone that replies.

Cheers guys!

Craig

If you've never changed your pre filters or membranes in 2 1/2 years, its pretty much a banker that they want changing mate

(You may be better off posting your questions in the main window cleaning section btw)
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Hi
70 is quite high and 2.5 years is about the lifespan with regular use.

Tried adjusting your waste I assume?

Mine runs at 14 , with 350 going in.
