silicone remover

Can anyone confirm the best product for removing silicone from surfaces such as glass, tiles, shower doors etc... any surface that would be invoved in a builders clean

hi neil,
we've done builders cleans with silicone problems... if its on surfaces like glass and tiles we use a glass scraper (carefully!!) and nail varnish remover sometimes works.  Worth a try I suppose.

You can get silicone digestants - try Tensid at www.tensid.com, they should have something

Believe it or not, B and Q do an excellent silicone remover and it is called surprise surprise, silicone remover. Best, Dave.
