Small commercial job?
« on: December 17, 2014, 06:17:35 pm »
Had to price one up today but some windows would have to be accessed from a fairly high flat roof. I gave them a price but said I wasn't keen on going up on the roof. Got a text back saying they are looking for more quotes and someone who will do all the windows.

Not bothered if I get the job or not but they obviously haven't considered the health and safety of the cleaner. Should they?

Not really mate, I suppose it's down to us to put a method statement to the customer in this case, if you find the customer doesn't care about your safety then show his pocket the same respect and explain the cost of a cherry picker to gain access to the window.

Send him another quote with £250 plus vat  additional costs

i wouldnt bother dave if you ve got plenty of work.its just not worth it mate.

i only take on easy access jobs now near other work. ;)

if you ve been in this game even half as long as me you ve cleaned the crap/dangerous/pain in the bum jobs in your younger days. ;D

no need as you get older/even more established in your area.pick and choose! :) :)
price higher/work harder!
