Clive people don't believe me when I say I throw money around on new machines someone somewhere has been spreading false rumours about my thriftiness.

Jamie,
you should have waited for Sheffield Shaun to buy one - bound to get it cheap in a couple of weeks!! ;D

I can't recall Sheffield Shaun importing the first carpet wand 'glide' in the UK and selling it off cheap after a few weeks

Yes we have. Going to run it again this weekend on site.
It is a very nicely put together bit of kit that will last just like the SX spinner tools.
Its definitely for use with a  truck mount.
That said we don't have a triple motor or 2x6.6" portable running 2" hose to test it with here but did try a PowrFlite PFX1350 which was okay at a short hose run of 25ft but with the speed it can extract the carpet you ideally want a longer hose run
The portable would need to have a auto fill/dump as it will use a fair amount of water at the recommended operating pressures.
The office we tried it in isn't the biggest only being about 30m2 and this is definitely a tool for larger areas.
Perfect for pub/nightclub/restaurant and open areas where extraction cleaning is desired.
Now that we have had a play with it its now for sale if anyone is interested.
Only cleaned 30m2
We don't have the type of work for it as we only really maintain carpets that are already clean and don't operate a truckmount.

We got one in to run the test and now its sitting looking pretty in the showroom.
If anyone is interested give me a call on 01334656787 or jamie@cleaningsystemsuk.com

We still use our SX12 every week on hard floor jobs and its 12 years old.

The SX15 is better if you have a TM to take advantage of the 2" hose.

If anyone has used a drag wand in the past the CX15 is very similar in use. Effortless pull back with no dry passes needed.

I wasnt convinced by the TMF video or the Hydraforce one either Paul.

Thats why I got one to try it out.

On big areas where you needed to extract it would sure be easier than push/pulling a wand thousands of times.

I'd love to try the zipper wand. Reckon it's a back saver but overpriced by a mile.

IMO I can't see how it will be anywhere as good as RX20.

I've been reading about his tool on TMF I I think the problem is it's being oversold on how good it is by the manufacture.

They say it is quicker as it requires no dry passes.... but why? How is it different from a normal glided wand when in essence all it consist of is spinning jets in front of a 12-14inch glided vacuum slot, it has the same vacuum potential as a normal wand, no way can it offer single pass cleaning.

They also say if you move it to fast it leaves circular jet marks :-\

I would agree that it doesn't need dry passes.

Also that it could leave swirls if you move too fast.

I still think its a potentially useful tool.

Yes I can send it down to you Simon.

Let me sort that tomorrow when back in the office.
