which extreme brush
« on: December 03, 2014, 08:25:58 pm »
im currently using the black and white medium mixed extreme but its getting tired after a few months and want to try something different especially for the leaded windows as im having to change to the heavier superlite flocked for those so was thinking about thishttp://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/The-Super-Lite--Xtreme-Soft--Black--BRUSH_SL_XTREME_MM.html or this http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/The-Super-Lite--Xtreme-Soft-Hybrid-BRUSH_XTREME_SOFTH.html but whats the difference and anyone know if its worth waiting a little longer for these new gardiner range thats coming?

Are you using the medium mixed Xtreme with hot, the reason I ask is because I'm using one now for about nine
months and its still going strong.
The Xtreme soft ( black ) is a great brush also but my last one only lasted three weeks I'm not joking.
I personally would wait on the new range because anything else after using an Xtreme will feel like a brick on the
end of your pole.

Yeah I'm using it with hot pal but i used last one about the same time and the edges just seem to go!
I've got a superlite mm, black flocked, sill mm and this extreme mm but it's mainly an extreme flocked I want for the raised lead so I don't have to use my heavier version, I've heard the tecbuk are something else but it's the weight that's the issue for me after using extreme nothing comes close!

I was using the Extreme medium mixed hybrids, they were good for a few weeks but quickly lost shape and had no splay meaning it was difficult to get into corners. I have bought a couple of Tecbuk hybrid brushes, they are quite a bit heavier but have good splay and are better for scrubbing. I may go back to Extremes once they have been improved.

Alex just needs to copy the tecbuk brush side and fit it into the extreme side and he'll have the lightest best brush on the market!!

For hot I would use the Xtreme stiff white brush.

Blue & White Xtreme is a good all round brush even on lead very similar feel to brush you are using at the moment .

ive just started using a brand new extreme medium mixed brush yesterday.their great when new and good with hot water but they soon lose their shape and bristles after 2 months or so but i put up with them because their so so light on the end of extreme poles.i cant use anything else for regular window cleaning now! :)
price higher/work harder!

thats the problem Dazmond i had to use a superlite black flocked again this morning to do a couple of leaded window homes and my neck was in agony, crazy that a 100 or so grams can make all the difference but suppose its all at the end of the pole, after doing them i stuck the extreme back on and flew through the rest of my work and the pole felt nice and light again!
surely somone must see theres a gap for a brush with the lightness of the gardiner extreme and the bristleness of the tecbuk.

We have four new brush ranges coming out early next year which will fill many of the current gaps in the market. The new brush ranges will consist of the following:

1. A new Xtreme brush that is more robust than the current model with 7 rows of bristles. This has a new design stock which has been designed to minimize potential  frame damage whilst giving good corner to corner scrubbing ability. Similar weight to the current range.
2. A new mid-weight brush that will weigh about 185g  so about halfway in between the Xtreme and the Super-Lite. This has a new design stock which has been designed to minimize potential frame damage whilst giving good corner to corner scrubbing ability. This brush will have excellent cleaning and ease of use.
3. A new 350mm wide version of the above brush in every bristle type.
4. A new Sill brush design with improved glass cleaning bristles and 2nd set of jets. A flocked version is also being introduced
5. A new 350mm wide Sill brush design.
6. The new mid-weight brushes will include a hybrid version with natural inner animal bristles - in testing we have found that this cleans snail trails extremely well, whilst not taking too much extra effort.

The range of our brushes will then stand at about 23 brushes which should cover all types of work and preferences.

I think you need to bring out a brush rack for the back of my van.
