I currently have a Prochem Steempro with two vac motors in series. I have 1.5" hose which is working fine at 50' but struggles beyond that. I have an extra 25' of 1.5" but performance drops off dramatically.A machine upgrade is desirable but the pennies aren't there just yet.So the question is, would running the machine with 2" hose make an appreciable difference - enough to continue being effective at 75'. I rarely need that much but it would life easier on occasion. Any gains would be worthwhile as when I upgrade machine I'll then already have the 2" hose.Would welcome any views - thanks.
Series motors will not benefit by using 2" hose. They rely on vacuum rather than airflow.Until you get up to more powerful vac units you will not get any advantage from increasing vac pipe dia.Check that there are no obstructions in the pipes, recovery tank and especially the wand.
