UK MAIL google reviews!!!
« on: November 18, 2014, 03:57:24 pm »
I am currently having an issue with a parcel that was collected by UK Mail form my location for delivery to one of the offices we clean. Parcel was collected on November 5th and was supposed to be delivered next day, still not delivered! I tried to find a contact number for them and by accident came across their Google revews, 44 in total with score 1.1 out of 5  :o That's some courier company, isn't it  ;D.

UPS is another one to stay away from as well, my partner bought me a lovely spitfire painting from an auction house in the states, it was an original gerald coulson signed print at a cost of over $600
Anyway I was in when ups came to deliver it to me, the guy dropped it down on the step at my front door despite it saying all over very fragile and glass in red letters, fram was smashed and picture ruined! That was the middle of september and UPS still will not exept responsibility for the damage they have caused, even know it was insured

Do you not think that people only fill in online reviews when they're unhappy with a service?

Human nature, when things go as they're supposed to, nothing is said, when things go wrong people will complain in any direction they can.

Personally I've sent over 8,000 parcels with UPS in 3 years, in that time I've had very few complaints, and most of those were proved to be customers trying it on.

I am very surprised about UPS not willing to accept liability, they are very reputable company in the states.
I just got off the phone with UK Mail, their advisor was so incompetent...the have made 2 attempts to deliver, their driver couldn't find the address and they have decided that there is no need for 3rd attempt. 3 attempts is the industry standard! My parcel has been sitting in their depot for 8 days with no one doing anything with it  ::)roll
When I asked her to authorise a full refund and return the parcel to me she said I had to speak to their customer care line, all that after waiting in the line for 30 minutes....REALLY???

Guys just stay away from UK Mail. You have been warned  ;D

Initialy it was couriered by trans global express but then passed onto ups in the uk , but its the first and last time I will use UPS if you look at the reviews about UPS and there are quite a few, they are all negative

just been speaking to Trans Global thirty minutes ago and they have assured me that UPS will pay up

I was expecting a parcel today from City Link, at 5.30pm thought i would go on-line to track and to my surprise it said it had been left with a neighbour and a card had been left. Surprise surprise, no card and no idea which neighbour. 20 minutes later after tearing a strip off them on the phone i found it had been left with a local shop 100 yards away and it had now closed for the night and is not opening till 8am and i've go to leave at 6.30am for a job, without the order, some of which i needed to take with me, all because the driver was too lazy to find my house in the dark, although i had left outside lights on to illuminate house name. Not the first time i have had this problem with City Link.  Not had a problem with UPS before.

I remember John Kelly saying in a FB post that all delivery companies are s**t  ;D
It seems he was right. As i wrote one of the previous posts yesterday I had a city link driver knock on my door, I opened the door...."Just wanted to make sure there is someone in" he says, "will be right back with the pack". 15 mins later he is still in the van looking for the parcel. I walked up to the van and he says "I can't find it' sorry"  ::)roll
I am just wondering what will happen to us if we were giving our customers such poor service ???

Yes Emil they are all abysmal. Unfortunately there aren't that many to choose from. City Link are by far the best we have used although they still let us down occasionally but they have improved dramatically over the last year. They were losing £1m a month at one point when they were owned by Rentokill. UK mail were by far the worst we have ever used. Tuffnels deliver to us and their vans are a disgrace, everything is just thrown in the back at the depot. I wouldn't want a courier van drivers job for all the money in the world.

Sometimes the packaging can leave a lot to be desired too, I exclude Restormate and Cleansmart who pack properly, but I have on occasion ordered from others and once lost a kilo plus of pureclean. Granted courier was probably less that careful which didn't help. I'd never order from them again though they did discount my invoice.

I have an account with UK Mail. Don't waste time on customer services, contact Guy Buswell, he is the CEO of UK Mail. Send him a polite email and see how fast things go when they have his foot up their asses. guybuswell@ukmail.com
