Trying to get finished on the car wash at Stanwell last week, part of the works was to clean the heavily stained car wash glass.





We got rid of the calcium/limescale/cleaning residue build up, to a degree dealt with the hazing but could not get it back to sparkle quality.

We checked the state of your water and it turns out that you have a hard water reading of around 400ppm, at the very top end.

Get bottled water in mate!!

We could have used honing powders on this and mechanical polishing but the whole car wash probably wasn't worth the cost of going down this route.

If I go down the mechanical agitation route on this I know I need graded honing powders, do you sell these for glass. Also what would be the best  polishing unit?

The Farrow system or Oxalic acid should work...it's lime scale and soap residue. Same 5hit thats in the bottom of your kettle(minus the soap).
60% of UK households are in hard water area..anything over 7 degrees clark is classed as "hard".

I got some accommodation, the previous week, for Matt in Stanwell village - that's a nice area, a little quiet as there doesn't seem to be much about till you get to Staines.

As I said I stayed in Chertsey, on the Caravan & camping site, on Bridge Road. We both stayed over there last week, taking advantage of the good weather.

Because we worked nights it was a case of sleeping till late and then waiting to go to work. I can never get used to nights (probably because I don't do enough). We decided to walk to the Wimpy one day, said it was a couple of miles so went down the river, cut a long story short, we were on the wrong side of it and ended doing a full loop back to Chertsey and still needed to eat. Got there in the end after 6 miles and then a 2 mile walk back.

There are some seriously big houses on that river and a cracking walk.

Bonus was there was a Snow & Rock store just round the corner and they were having a sale

Downside - that bloody M25 again - AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

You had a great pub for food by Chertsey bridge "The Kingfisher"
M25 you get used to it living down here.
