Customer pays a daft price

Arrived at a £16 bungalow today.

- There's a bit of cladding on the side of the chimney going a bit green.  Can you give it a once-over?

I take a look.  It's 2ft6in x 2ft6in.  And it's clean enough that I'd leave it alone if it were on my house.

- Sure, but I'll have to charge you two hundred quid, I say as I walk away to the back of the house.

I clean and the cladding adds about thirty seconds.  Maybe forty.  Go to collect and she hands me a cheque for £216.

If only I could have left with it...

So you said 'No it was for payment in cash' and then left with that?

;)
