Had my Storm serviced yesterday at Cleansmart and had the auto dump removed as i very rarely use it, Mark fitted a screw fitting so i can easily re-attach pipe if i wanted to use it though.  The other thing to bear in mind with the weaker pumps is that if they fail you might not be able to finish the job, with the 800 psi you get some warning apparently, i.e. pressure drop and leaking underneath but it should allow you to finish job.  That's how it was explained to me yesterday anyway.  Pump head needs replacing after approx 500 hours use at around £275 ish, mines holding pressure at the moment but expect to get this replaced in the next 3 - 6 months but i have had it now for getting on three years so it is well overdue in my case but still running sweet and after service yesterday after they replaced a few minor seals it is performing better than ever.

Richard, how much was the service and was it done whilst you waited or did you leave it and return later?

My Turbo is about 18 months old now and I'm thinking about having it serviced.

you can't say something will last 'x' amount of hours - it will all come down to how it is used and who is using it

pumps having cold, clean water through it will outlive ones having very hot water or powders through it

the motors on my old Scorpion lasted over 4 years, best to learn your own maintenance and how to use it properly

gotta say, my experience on my last calls to Cleansmart have been very poor, no call backs as promised and not that interested in talking to me at all was my impression.

Small service is £50 + vat which includes PAT test, i had some other work done, not to Storm, so that took a bit longer but just took myself to a retail park for a while.

I'm guessing i have done well over 500 hours and have looked after my machine, only clean water through pump, occasionally with acid rinse and run vac motors after every job for a few minutes to make sure there is no moisture on them. :)

Had very good service from Cleansmart, calls answered and looked after by Dee, Mark and Frank whilst there who all took time to speak to me, Matt was on holiday i think so did not see him this time.

Could you post a picture of your machine set up ready to work in the van with the tank also what do you use to empty the dirty water into or do you have a hose that extends the dump hose.

Thanks Jim

No problem

Here is the machine by the 400L fresh water tank. Waste water pipe goes to the back to the dirty water tank.

Then here is the back of the van. Dirty water tank bellow the reels. Suction hose and water hose to be connected here, not on the side, it is saving around two meters in lenght and thanks to this more often 15ft of hoses is enough for small houses.

And here, behind the water hose reel is the lid for dirty water tank

John

do you have an in tank heater on your Inforcer? And if so what is the highest temperature it will go to ?

Stuart

The intank heater dial is fixed at 60 degrees to protect the pump  ...  you wouldn't hold your hand in 60  . I also have the CFR external heater  , dont think i'd be without either .
