Crisis!!! Bad news on pump order
« on: April 06, 2006, 08:17:09 pm »
I am in the process of building my own system.  On 4th April I ordered a shurflo 238 100psi 6 litre/min pump and was told a couple of days for delivery - great.

So today I've booked in a job worth £550 for w/c 17th April.

Got email today - got to wait 10 days for pump to come into stock.

All of a sudden crisis!

Help!!!

Hi Gaz

not paid yet - they are supposed to be sending me a pro-forma invoice.

They have offered me an alternative pump, slightly lower spec, but by the time they've got around to sending me the invoice, got their cheque, waited for it to clear, sent the pump ........

Times ticking on and I wanted to have a little time to make sure my system was working properly before I used it.

I am beginning to wish I'd just got on with it and brought one of Andrew's Trolley's weeks ago instead of doing my own.  At least I'd have a running system all sorted now.

personally i like the Flojet (after Jeff B put me onto it), its a smallish pump and works well (low amp aswell Wink)

http://www.dualpumps.co.uk/

model RLF122202

thinks they are about 60 quid delivered, i allways phone them and ask then for the model without the pressure switch

dont forget the matching strainer / filter, its only another 10 quid, but stops any crap getting into the pump

phone then up tomorrow, pay with a debit or credit card, you will have it monday morning

when your other pump arrives, swap them over and you have a spare pump, ALLWAYS handy to have a spare, afterall if it broke, you woudnt lose more than a few hours work, back to work next day

Wat Dave sez!!!!

I do know that Williamsons are struggling a bit to keep up with demand. Not their fault. They are on an allocation from Shurflo in the States. We are getting a bit short ourselves but are hoping to get a delivery tomorrow. We only do the 100 PSI 3.8 ltr per minute one..which is the best one for one man operation as it is the only one designed just for WFP use.

If you get no joy give me a call on 01472 347519 tomorrow afternoon. If the delivery has arrived I will send you one out straight away. And... yeah  you should have bought one of our trolleys  LOL  :P

No.. seriously if you are going to be in a jam and cant get any joy just let me know.

Cheers

Andrew

Glad to be of help, Andrew did say they cannot keep up with demand at the moment though, and wfp stuff is flying out the door.
