Ever have one of those days?
« on: July 29, 2014, 02:57:08 pm »
Got a call the other day to quote a drive and as i busy i just took the details quickly so this morning i tryed to have a look at it on street view but my laptop didn't want to play so i ended up driving out there 45 mile round trip to find the smallest driveway going so i gave her a price to which she said was to much and she knocked me down to £50 so i said i would do it on the spot as its not worth me travelling back out so i fired up the surface cleaner to find its leaking out of the centre so has low pressure so i had to use the turbo on it which ment i spent longer cleaning up the street afterwards than doing the drive then i got the wfp out to clean off the windows and doors but guess what, that wouldn't work so i did them by hand then on the way back i stopped to buy a drink only to find out i have lost my wallet and she had paid by cheque  :(

I had a job once, got there and the heavens opened (it was forecast only to be overcast, they got that wrong!) and would not stop so could not get on, went back 2 days later, got setup and my pump decided it did not want to work, gave up and went home. Ordered the tool to fix the pump, went back a week later, 3rd time lucky and did the job. Lucky the job was only 5 miles away.

It felt as if some force was trying to trip me up every step of the way. The customer saw the funny side and was ok about the whole thing.

I've had a job like that Rob, not quite as bad as I didn't have to get a drink afterwards lol.
