Buying an Excisting Window Cleaning Round
« on: April 06, 2006, 03:24:51 pm »
Hi, my name Is Steve,

I'm looking at buying an excisting window cleaning round to increase the size of the round that i already have, and i have thought about giving DoorKnockers or/and the PDF a try as, they both seem o.k. but i would like advice if they can help before i give them a call, would it be worth my time?

Hey Steve.
Worth your time but question if its worth the money. Doorknockers will ask you how much you want to make per month  ??? If £3k is your monthly turnover then Doorknockers will charge you £6k...ish  :-[

I did a flyer drop in my area on Wednesday to expand my round. 300 flyers took me a morning to drop. I had 9 calls whom i have quoted and secured. Saturday morning, i will doorknock myself to follow up the flyers i dropped....hope to get a 10% return on my efforts. I am aware there are 3-4 other WC in the area so this isn't too bad.

If you got the cash, i suppose Doorknockers are a fast track way of building a bigger round. Spend wisely.

I bought  an exsisting round.£2700 per month of work, cost £6000.I have let some bad payers , some awkward streets, and low pricings go.I have gained new customers at my better prices and a year on the round has now been sorted.99% good cusomers,90% good payers. My advice would be, build a round from scratch if you have the time/money there is plenty of work out there, Price your jobs well and let bad payers go straight away, and never be swayed on prices.Having said that I bought my round as I didnt have the time or money to start from scatch and it has paid off.
