Latchway Cert
« on: July 16, 2014, 01:30:05 pm »
Hi All
I wonder if anyone can help me, I am trying to find out whether operatives need to be trained in the use of latchways as a legal requirement.
Cradle training (specific to site) yes, abseiling yes, MEWP yes but latchways do not seem to appear anywhere.
Anyone know if it is a legal requirement?
Thanks in advance

I didn't need much traing in latches.

I've got a pole with a coat hook screwed into the end, and I put my ladder against the wall and unhook the gate latch. Saves having to jump over the fence.
