AlgoClear V Hypo ?
« on: June 29, 2014, 01:05:07 pm »
What are the advantages of using AlgoClear rather than Hypo, I understand that AlgoClear is more enviromently friendly, but it takes longer to work !    Sorry for my ignorance, but what are the reasons for using AlgoClear ?

Thank you for your patience  ;D

As a contractor you risk prosecution for using bleach  as it is not licenced for this type of use.
Your public liability insurance would be invalid.
Your RAMS are not worth the paper they are written on.
It (bleach) is highly corrosive.
Although bleach is bio-degradable It should not be allowed to enter into the water coarse at much above 2% (domestos etc) Again you are open for prosecution.
Bleach poses a real risk to your general  health .
Nothing works like bleach...it gets excellent results quickly.
Bleach is cheap ;D
Algo clear is cheap £15 for 40 litres
Algo clear is the opposite of most of the above .....plus it also gives excellent results

Bleach poses a real risk to your general  health .

What do you know about this? I just looked on wikipedia and it says when used for cleaning it can produce gases that are carcagenic which is a worry, do you or anyone else no anything about that?

I know it burns your skin...eats metal objects and it don't mix it with pi55.
This gives me a general feeling (without getting too scientific) that it could be bad for your health.

Until reading the wikipedia page I didn't know about it mixing with pee. But the bit that concerned me was the cancer part, but I'm not a chemist and wasn't sure how relevant it was for hard surface cleaning.

The Algo clear would take to long to get results...although they would be just as good if not better long term. Bleach is possibily better for this type of application.
