Polished white limestone floor got flooded. Some areas with subtle beige stains, couple of bits where colour from a wood basin support has stained the floor dark brown.Any ideas?
Not high shine polished, but white and as smooth and close-textured as I've seen.
I would also like to know what may be the best option for removing stains from limestone/travertine especially around cooking areas which have the usual wine and food stains.
I assume Max means smooth but non-reflective.

If the method does not work and the staining is deep then you may need to use a poultice.Kev MartinTiling Logistics LtdThat's right. Is this stain likely to be shallow enough to remove with honing powder? I had been wondering about something to soak in & react chemically with the stain, sodium percarbonate to oxidise or sod met to reduce. Anyone tried this approach?
