pentair prf ro, merlins replacement

Does anybody use one of these ? Is it basically the same as the merlin it has replaced in performance ?
The blurb on gaps site suggests it produces less waste water than previous but I am unsure how as it uses the same pre filters and membranes  ??? or have I read that wrong ?
Just after opinions as I currently have a 4040 that will probably need a replacement membrane in the next few months.
As I may be moving by the end of the year I am considering going over to a more portable ro which will give me some more versatility for it to be van mounted , removed easily in the colder months and set up quickly whever I may end up  :)
Have got used to the capacity of a 4040 though and having had a merlin prior to that with a terrible waste ratio was just wondering how this latest pentair compared ?
Thanks  ;)
