Latex browning
« on: June 22, 2014, 04:28:39 am »
Just got some Haitian cotton cleaner from Ch..pec and it says on the label...
"this product can cause 'latex browning on some latex backings"
never come across this and a tad worried, how would you know until it bits you
in the bum?  ::)roll

Haitian cotton isn't that common in the uk. It is usually a heavy woven raw cotton that is back coated with latex to hold it together. The browning is a reaction with a preservative in the latex. I have only ever seen 1 item of it in all my years. Just check the backing a before using to be extra safe.
