Carpet Cleaning Manuals
« on: April 02, 2006, 02:34:05 pm »
I'm Thinking of purchasing the Extracta cleaning manual to mull over, However with p&p it costs £82.25 :o

Does anyone own it or recommend buying it and do any other companies do a manual (preferably a leetle bit cheaper)

Cheers

Although I have an out of date one, if it is the Lloyd Owen one it is an interesting read but I do not think it is  worth  £82 but then I never do.

Information Publishers appear to charge a lot, but maybee they do not sell many so they have to  make a profit some how.

Craftex do one, basic but good enough for starters and only £25 + vat (never seen the Extracta one, but this is probably as good).

I have the Extracta manual but i didn,t pay for it, as the WDA did. As Pirelli were closing down we all went on courses for different things and they payed petrol costs, hotel accommodation and this manual.

There are some good points in there, but as you say it's pricey.

Had a quick look through and it looks an excellent manual & for nought!!

Now come on chaps print it out and study it and you'll all be experts in no time. :)

An investment of £82 with the potential to make you thousands and your complaining ::)

Sometimes I do wonder.

No Mark I'm not complaining just enquiring wether it was value for money and to get some reviews on it. I'm on a tight budget till I seriously start working on getting gear and training after the summer, This involves selling my much beloved vw campervan when the prices are at peak round August/September time so for now I'm merely picking up as much info as I can for as little as poss.

Robert,
Thank you for the link, I have edited it with Word,  re-sized it to 121 pages and printed it out.  Unfortunately all of the pictures are missing, but seems to be very informative book.
Regards,
Arthur

Let me clarify, the one I have has  around 252 pages.

Contains info on Carpet Cleaning Upholstery Cleaning and Marketing.

Books that have 252 pages usually cost £20.

Mark does have a point. Last Year I spent aproaching £1000 on various information products.

Every day I get letters telling meI need this CD set or that DVD conference etc.

And yes they do contain good advise but you have got to do it.

Shoe String Starts are hard

I have took a quick look at the link manual.

Seems to cover most things but 1985 edition.

Also US manual.

Books that have 252 pages usually cost £20.

And newspapers with about 60 pages usually cost 30p, and the pages are bigger.

Bargain of the week, though, is 500 sheets of A4 paper for 99p from Viking Direct.

So that's 250 pages for 49p. All you have to do is write on them, and you have saved £££££s
