Sebo Duo death!
« on: June 14, 2014, 04:15:56 pm »
So I have just witnessed the end of my trusty Duo - maybe forever, I don't know.

It started making increasingly loud clonking noises and then the drive to the bushes disappeared completely leaving the motor whirring.

I suppose I should take it apart and have a look. Does anyone on here know what usually causes them to fail and what I should be looking for?

Much appreciated  :)

On stairs or in small bedrooms they come into their own Hector.

Just had it open - one of the posts that the drive cogs are pinned to has sheared off. We've glued it back in place. Don't know if it will work, if not I can always keep it for spares (or sell).

Why is everyone saying 'get a rotary', assuming I don't have one? I do, but it's hard to agitate stairs one-handed with a rotary :)

Well, sure, I know, but it's so easy to do it with the Sebo.

I actually prefer the prochem stiff hand brush on stairs
I think it gets a better result.
