Water production problems
« on: June 15, 2014, 08:41:47 pm »
I have recently bought a second Pure Freedom 200 GPD Compact Reverse Osmosis System, the reason being that the first system was producing less than 200 litres a day with a pump.
The water supply is a single pipe from my house mains into a tap in my garage and then split to connect to each RO unit.
Since getting the 2nd unit in April and getting approx 350 ltrs a day at first there has been a gradual decline in production and I am now only getting about 180 ltrs a day from the two. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going wrong and what I could do to improve production?

Get a 450 gpd and flush it regularly

Pre filters need changing every 3-6 months (this will effect rate of production)

Put an extra membrane housing on your r.o then put 150 membranes in all 3 and make it a 450gpd
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

I would say your pump has slowed down and your not getting the same pressure to
your R.O.

I have to change my sediment filter every month as our water has so much sediment in it.
