Just a follow up on our emails;

It took 9 man hours to collect and individual send nearly 800 emails (but now we have 800 emails of local companies so next time will be quicker) but aprox 50 were returned as undeliverable due to non existent address.

We had 2 replies asking to be unsubscribed

We had only 1 enquiry for a quote which turned into a £180 job.

But this was the first send I will resend in 2 weeks reminding them the offer  has only 24hrs left

Thanks for sharing Mike.

Thing is emails are too easy to send. Anything that's easy usually falls in the "too good to be true bracket". From my experience emails are good if the receive knows the sender.

The time of year is also impacts on conversion rates.

I know this is an old post but I would really like to know if you sent any more emails since your first 800 and if you have had any joy from it Mike as it's something I'm thinking about.

In the end we only got the one direct job but up to know we have cleaned the receptionist and one other person from the office we cleaned so made £430 from the whole email campaign.

We still have the list of email address so now can resend at any time. I  haven't done it as we are busy anyhow so don't need to to.

I bet he cleaned the receptionist because she was really dirty! pnarr pnarr pnarr  :P
Or maybe just my dirty mind!

I think I will give it a go. I do all the marketing and I have 2 operators, one doing the domestic and one on the commercial when we get some so I have plenty of time to do it. I think it's just a case of building up the data base first and then it will become easier. Does anyone know a good program that will bulk send emails but also tell you if they have opened the email or if it's gone to spam. That is what's putting me off doing it. I don't want to spend ages sorting a email campaign out for them all to go to spam without me knowing.

Hi Deep cleaning Solutions

This may be of interest to you. It is so much more sophisticated than the simple thing that Outlook offers you of asking the recipient of an email to acknowledge receipt of an email

I had on an old computer but never got round to downloading onto my new computer this programme : mailinfo.

Here is the link to the website http://www.mailinfo.com/web/

I believe there is a free version and the paid version.

I was really pleased with it as it did tell you when and how many times somebody had looked at your email so if you then spoke to them on the phone you knew if they were being economical with the truth if they said they had never read it/got it.

It wasn't infallible but certainly very useful. i believe there could sometimes be a conflict between it and other software which might impact upon the running of your computer.

Below is a summary of what it can do.

Rog

Know that your outgoing email is viewed - as it happens.
Real-time alerts appear directly on your desktop once your email is viewed.
Make sure important emails were received and not blocked as spam.
Real-time tracking tools show you which emails have arrived, and when.
Find unconfirmed emails that require follow-up or emails that appear lost.
Reminders help you keep track of critical communications that haven't been read.
Keep using your Microsoft Outlook ® or Outlook Express ® as you always have.
Mailinfo is seamlessly integrated into your Microsoft Outlook ® or Outlook Express ® so you can simply continue sending emails as usual.
    Your emails remain private.
The content of your emails remains between you and the recipients. We don't redirect your emails, they don't go through our servers, and we do not have access to them.
Know the impact of your emails.
Find out when and where your email is viewed, know of renewed interest in your emails, and see the reach of your emails.

Do you like receiving spam? I hate spam. Sick and tired of spam and always report it. Why is spam acceptable when you're sending it, but not when you receive it? Spam IS illegal. Heavy fines for those who consistantly send spam. What's wrong with keeping things legal? If you want lists of email addresses there are loads of paid for lists available. I get offers for them all the time; all sent by spam emails. Is business so bad you need to spam people to find new work? ;D
