« on: May 29, 2014, 08:01:36 pm »
How long does it take you to clean an average through lounge and hall, stairs and landing?
It takes me roughly two hours from knocking on the customers door to leaving in my can
saying that it two hours thirty minutes this morning as the carpets were mingers

About the same Stuart.
Did the same yesterday morning plus 3 average sized bedrooms and it was just about bang on 3 hours.
It was totally empty, carpets had been vacced to death including edges and it was all in decent condition.
I still vacced but even the edges were clean so just picked up odd bits didn't spend a long time vaccing.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

It does depend on a few factors, I know Paul is quick he has so himself perhaps he's more organised.

I'd be interested in how long it would take  a 100% LM cleaner, I find it's about the same time as when I HWE.

Just for interest here's our routine:

I walk up to the door carrying 75ft of solution line and the Hydraforce, My helper carries an extention cord & dust sheet, I run out the solution line he wraps the banister and plugs in the extention cord.

I prespray the top hall & stairs, he starts scrubbing while I pull in the vac hose. While he is scrubbing I will move small items in the lounge and prespray the traffic areas.

I start extracting upstairs while he scrubs the lounge. If everything is going smoothly he will position airmovers then go leafleting until I have completed the job and have packed away (I call him as I drive away and ask where he is) if there is heavy spotting, filtration marks or anything else that would stop me wanding he will do these before leafleting.

This is how we work on most jobs.

It won't make any difference to the machine as all the crap that you would have vacced up ends up in your waste tank, it gets nowhere near the mechanics of the extractor.

Although I don't know the spec of the grace, if I was using a low end extractor I would attempt to remove as much dirt as possible before I started extracting..... So would vacuum. The high flow & vacuum of my TM easily removes the pre-existing  dry soil that would be picked up by post vacuuming. Even after it has been dampened by my prespray.

There are a few variables if I can park up outside the front door then it's quicker then going up a garden path also some carpets take longer to dry so I may bring in more driers, I would love to see Hector lm this job as 45mins to 1 hour looks a very good business decision as it would be touch dry.
