Chewing gum removal from paving
« on: June 04, 2014, 01:45:39 pm »
Our company has introduced a new gum removal product - the result of a research project by a university team in Belfast.
Xpelgum is an innovative liquid solution to gum removal, avoiding the need for plant or power supply.
Works on brick & concrete paving, asphalt or tarmac, as well as hard internal flooring - ceramics, slate & Pvc Altro.
Takes approx 10 seconds per piece.
Ideally suited to customers who wish to maintain a gum-free entrance area to retail or hospitality premises, and looking for a cleaning company to do it for them without fuss & mess of power washing.
I would welcome any comments or feedback from forum members who have experience in the difficult job of gum cleaning.
See website - www.xpelgum.com
Any questions - will do my best to answer.
Thank you.
Martin

Stuart,
Thank you for your comments. We have had good results on entrance mats - the permanent type which are recessed into the floor. They usually have alternating fabric and aluminium strips, and are very tricky to get gum out of.  We use same procedure as web video, except we use a stiff scrubbing brush on the mat, not the wire one in video. Rinse down after with water, and wet vacuum it all up.
