Im using these on my guns, so i can swap between lance and whirlaway, has been working great for a while, now its started leaking where you screw the female QR into the gun. tried nipping it up, no joy. I bought another one, thinking that maybe the o-ring had gone in the old one, but the new one started leaking three days later.

2 Questions - Can you replace the o-rings in these, and if so, how the hell do you get to them, they look like the o-ring is right down inside it..

and.. what's the easiest way to tighten the female QR onto the gun? there is nowhere for you to put a spanner on to tighten, and i have tried using the right size hex key stuck in the end but just don't seem to be able to get it tight enough. Is the hex key in the end the right/only way to tighten these?

Do use thread lock or ptfe tape on the thread? Im for ever tightening them but find ptfe and allen key to tighten is the best way.

Couple of things with these, Think its a 14mm Allen if I remember correctly, also try to use thread lock over ptfe as ptfe can damage the thread on brass and even sprise the fittings wide open if over tightened, also try to keep away from zinc coated male spigots (the black ones) as these can damage the brass in the female, use the stainless steel sutner or Kew ones.
There is o rings available for genuine sutner and Kew guns but not sure about the copy types. You need a special plunger tool for replacing them, I have one somewhere, bought it from Damien at q services, give him a ring and he'll fix you up with one

Cheers guys. I originally didnt use ptfe on them because it said not to, i was told to use ptfe spray on them but didnt have any.

Lee, i only use the stainless ones now. The first lot i bought were the black ones and after a while they wear and get a sharp edge which ruined the female.

I dknt know im mine are genuine kew, i get them from ebay but they look exactly the same as in the pic.
