Two inches then  ::)roll

The tanks forward movement is only stopped by that lip - see what I mean?

and the two top frames around the top of the tank!

dave if it was in your van if would of slid forward and killed you by now! ;D ;D ;D

the bottom frame is bolted down by 6 bolts through van floor with spreader plates.

the top 2 frames are bolted to the bottom  frame and sit tight around the top of the tank.

the tank sits inside the frame.the frame is 2 inches thick made of steel.it cant jump up over the edge!

simple really.the frame is heavy as well.

Surprised there is room for that lot in a Mondeo?  ;D

There isn't a top frame around the tank just two bands over the tank - they may prevent the tank lifting but all the forward force is on that lip at the bottom. I would have thought the tank would deform and simply carry on forward in a smash.
If your happy then fair enough but I wouldn't be happy with it.
