Booster pump question
« on: April 14, 2014, 07:56:54 pm »
I have a booster pump on my 450gpd RO. It looks very similar to your bog standard shurflow pump only it is plugged into the mains. It would appear to be a 24v unit.

Why then does nobody produce a kit ie. transformer to run a 12v pump from the mains?

I tried it with a 100 psi shurflo and a 12v transformer Dave,(being the tightwad I am)  it was red hot after 4 hours of constant running  :o

Tight git.

Yes, I have several pumps knocking about - my booster pump has been running flat out for seven years now. Thought I could put an old Shurflow on. Maybe the pressure is too high?
