2" Vacuum Port Fitting
« on: February 24, 2014, 09:22:37 pm »
Not sure if this is what it's called but I need a plastic fitting to change the inlet on a our ISSA wet vac.

I want to connect 2" hose directly.

On our Alltec Advance I have a 2" dark grey plastic fitting.   This is barbed on the outside to take the hose with a screw thread on the other end which is tightened to the inside of the tank.

Can anyone post a link to something similar?

Thanks in advance.

This is the threaded barb  ...  but do you need the bulkhead fitting too to screw it to ?

Hi John, excellent thanks.

Yes, I do need the bulkhead too. I can't see it on the site, do you have a link for one also?

Thanks again

Ian

I  was looking myself a while back and couldn't decide what was suitable  ....
Im not sure if a regular plumbing store would have them  ,   Im also not sure if that barb is npt or bsp thread ..  as many of these carpet fittings come from the USA .

There is some bulkheads here on tanksdirect  ...
http://www.tanks-direct.co.uk/bsp_tank_fittings

also you could google the koi fish tank stores online ...
Its possible some of the manufacturers , Ashbys etc would supply the whole kit also
or contact the guy on the selling the barb .

If you find  anything let us know , thanks .

Hi John, ironic as it is I have ended up at the beginning.

When I decided to do this I first spoke to Dual Pumps.

Looks like I'll end up back with them.

I think you're right about the American thing.   Everytime I found what looked to be what I wanted it was over there.

Thanks for your help.

On a separate subject ....   fools of  CT  .. i know some of u are here

Stop talking trash about  motors without doing your research

The 6.6 has Nothing over the 8.4

The only reason you are not getting it is because the machine selling price would have to increased to the point where it is uncompetitive and it would look even more foolish against something like an Enforcer .
