at the moment im using a 210 litre water butt for my water storage,  using backpack,     filling 25litre drums up.

a pump will make life a bit easier.        can anyone recomend a decent pump for me to use,    one that can fit into a ibc tank as i will be aquiring one when i get my van.       so hopefully use it on both water containers to transfer the water to 25 litre drums or static water tank when needed.

When you have a 1000 litre ibc, gravity will fill up a 25 litre drum in seconds if you use a decent diametre hose on the out let at the bottom.
Mate uses 2'' hose that screws onto the tap outlet, fills 25 litres in literally seconds when the ibc is full...

tried that on a 120 litre butt, nothing happened.     ibc a lot bigger .   ill still need a submersible pump,to fill tank in van.     tried using a diaphram pump,  too much messing about,  2 hoses on each end.

I use a £40.00 submersible pump, just leave it in ibc and bobs your uncle.
I want another one for transferring water back into the ibc on collection nights/ weekends as my vans also my form of transport:(

wow seconds it took ages when I used gravity fed to fill my 25 litre bottle in the end I got a sub pump . It still takes twenty secs plus to fill barrels

I've been using this pump for the past 3 or so years and would recommend it. Left in IBC all the time.

looked on ebay this morning and hey presto,   there was one around the corner from me.
new, never used it.      dropped into water butt,     turned on , filled 2x 25 litre drums up in around a minute.
